Always a good thing to learn what you can or can't do = no or less mug shots, etc.
Can't not love vintage. Swoon for it this year too, including this inspired New Years photo.
Something so good and sweet about honey. 2013 must- honey substitutes.
And quite possibly some crazy shoe inspiration for 2013. Just include something this uncommon to the status quo.

Hi Zuley,
ReplyDeleteIn regards to wearing lipstick, there is always an adjustment period where you think you can never wear that much color and have it look good because you simply aren't used to it.
Easy in with a tinted lip gloss. When you are used to it, put on a light shade of lipstick and blend it with the gloss.
Very gradually, get bolder with your lip color, and always top off with the gloss!
Chic on the Cheap
Thanks! I just found the other day- also by suggestion- the Sugar Berry Fresh tinted lip treatment mostly for dry lips (oh winter...) and it gives a bit of berry color. Its light enough to not scare me but enough to give some punch of color. I think once I'm comfortable I'll gloss it a bit to really stand out... I'm not there yet. But thanks for the tips! I will try it out!
DeleteLOVE those shoes. They are like creepers, which I am quite the fan of.
ReplyDeleteAlso, our dress code states that we can not have unnatural colored hair, visible piercings, or visible tattoos.
Oh! And we cannot wear nail polish. Ugh, so many rules.
Actually, I am all for the nail polish rule.
I'll tell you a story now:
One day I went to this locally owned coffee shop that I had never been to before. I ordered some sort of iced fruity drink. It was quite delicious. When I got to the bottom of the drink I felt something weird in my mouth, it was nail polish.
Sparkly nail polish. EW. I was so grossed out. So now I understand that rule. Haha.
Wow, I wouldn't think of nail polish as a dress code-- but that story tells me its a must in some cases!
DeleteI do love those shoes too! Hopefully I can be brave enough to buy/wear these or similair ones. We'll see!
Happiest New Year! I gotta try that honey - or honey substitute...it looks so delicious :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was saying! I need to substitue any sugars I can with delicious honey. So much better for the heart n definitely tasty.
